Met some friends for lunch. Felt rushed into ordering. Ordered the Monti Cristo. Not again. French toast with meat in the middle. The others ordered wraps. They looked awesome

Every time I stop by they raise the bar. Even late night drunken jerks get served and handled properly in a way that gives the average guy a smile. Once a week visitors get remembered and outside of a busy weekend night you'll get great n fast service. If you see my check-in status you'll know I stick with places that give me a good vibe after a few visits and red's doesn't disappoint.latest kitchen in the downtown area and some really fantastic staff. Worth it on a weekday and a packed house in the weekend. Twenty dollars for a nice night abd beers on hand not available anywhere else.

We hit Red's for lunch once or twice a week. I almost always try the special as it's always great. One of the better Rubens in town and great flatbreads. Atmosphere and staff are outstanding. Best place to hit downtown for a tasty casual lunch

One of my favorite stops for breakfast in the morning or drinks in the afternoon. Their Sunday Bloody Mary bar is pretty nice too. We stop here often when riding the bike trail through town.

This place used to be great! Consistently received great service, quality food and great atmosphere. The last 3 times I've been in there, all of those things seem to have gone down the drain. The bacon on my sandwich was cold and rubbery (this has happened more than once)...as if it had been cooked and then sitting in a Rubbermaid tote for a few days. The servers just don't seem to care anymore. There is no quality standards on their food anymore. The location is nice but I would much rather go to Parlor City if I'm looking for a "pub" atmosphere.

Great place to grab lunch. Good wraps and lunch specials.

The amount of people settling in and hanging out here for the night is hit or miss, but the flow of people coming and going is fairly consistent given the location. I've only been here on Friday nights, and the crowd is pretty diverse. You'll find an Interesting mix of a more mature college kids, young professionals, and 30-somes still looking to have a good time. One things for sure, the drinks are made well and you can relax with a great mix of music. Red's is quickly becoming my go to spot for a generally fun night out.

Very good bar food joint. The service is very good, the food is very good, you will not be disappointed by visiting Reds. My personal favorite is the fajita chicken salad.

Best.Breakfast.Spot. Need I say more? In all honesty, haven't been disappointed by any of their food. Fun place all around!

I eat at Red's several times a month for lunch and sometimes go there for a drink on the weekends. The food is what you might call "high end bar food" with some great takes on classic items. The menu is a bit big with a ton of choices however in this case quantity does not impact quality. There is limited seating so you may end up eating at the bar, which I don't mind. Overall a very nice place to spend some time relaxing. They also serve 25 oz. cans of beer if that's your thing : ).

Went there for the 1st time 8/13/2014. 1PM for lunch meeting a date....sat there 30 min waiting for service. They had already brought me a drink. My date was there on her lunch break. After 30 min waiting for sombody to take our order....I had to get up and ask if we could get something to eat. There were only 6 or 7 people in the place.About 5 servers.... She ordered a Cesar salad...wich came quickly...and a Ruben.... Salad...appeared to have been just drizzeled with bottled Cesar dressing. She was happy...that's cool. But it had tomatos in it? Ruben.Small.They used a dark Pumpernickle/Jewish Rye bread.I prefer just the hard Jewish Rye...but she was hapy. I ordered the three cheese Quesadillas....full of cheese.Nice.Served with sour cream and salsa.Sour cream-good.Salsa..out of a jar...what do you expect. Not bad....I would buy it.But I would have to mince some fresh Cilantro and either put it in the store bought salsa...and let it marinate over night...but I LOVE Cilantro.Or have some fresh minced Cilantro on hande to put inside the Quesadillas...that would have been AWESOME. Prices are not bad at that hour.I noticed the signs on the wall and I would not go there at night. Not really their fault.Right in the middle of downtown...their rent has to be a BITCH! :-) I would still go back and check out some other stuff. Their staff needs some pointers....

One of my favorite places to go to for Sunday morning breakfast. Great food, big portions, fast service, and lively atmosphere.

No bells, no whistles ... it place is just a bars bars. The staff is quick, fun and got their shit together. Great beer and liquor selection. Didn't get any food, but that really not what I was there for ... perfect place for having a couple of drinks.

Went there last night (Friday night) with a group I met on meetup.com (I am new in town!). Had a nice chill time until about 12:30 (wish we stayed longer but an early morning had taken its toll). They had some appetizers that were half off and good priced drinks (everyone thought they had more than a decent amount of alcohol). The music started to pick up around 12am (nice mix of hip hop etc.) which customers can choose from a new-age jukebox (a dj would make this place even better!). We were looking for a place to bump into other black professionals (not too many in this area) and were pleasantly surprised! The crowd is still diverse, but it is nice to see more diversity than normal! The servers were nice, attentive, and the food was good (wouldn't come here for the food, but was happy with what we got). If you like mixing it up with your non-typical Cedar Rapids crowd I would definitely visit this place!

I've been to Red's a couple times now, once for dinner and drinks on a Wednesday night (or a Thursday?) and once for flirting and drinks on a Friday night. I think the dinner was better than the flirting. Whatever night we went was 1/2 off appetizers from 5-10 (or 4-10? I have no idea what I'm talking about). We ordered the cheese fries and sliders to share. Both were very good, the cheese fries were delicious. I'd say it's enough for 4 people for good sized appetizer. We barely made a dent in them, even though I had sworn I'd eat all of them or die trying. Our total bill, including a drink, was $12. Twelve US dollars for dinner for two. That's pretty inexpensive, even by Crapids standards. The service was good, as the bar got busier the table service started to slide a little but it was still decent. On a weekend night this place is packed to the gills, don't expect to get anywhere near the bar. I'll definitely be going back to Red's when I'm in town. Even though my jeans may protest, I'm sure I'll be eating more of those cheese fries.

Excellent food and service and the drinks are ice cold too! Great breakfast menu and the main menu is phenomenal. Keep up the good work!

A must place to eat in Cedar Rapids. The food is great, all the help that works here are very friendly. On Saturday they have $4.50 24 oz cans of domestic beer. It's right downtown easy to find. I had one of their burgers and my fiancé had breakfast cause on the weekends they serve it till 2 and both were fantastic. I got chili as a side and it is the best Chili I have ever had that I didn't make. They actually serve food till 1 A.M. It is now our go to place in Cedar Rapids.

4 Star bar but terrible food. My wife and I ate there and it might have been some of the worst food we've ever ate. No flavor, dry, bad! My burger was awful and almost tasted like a lunch room maid-rite. My wife's chicken wrap had the driest almost canned chicken ever. The bar atmosphere is great and love drinking there but the food was so bad it killed this review. Not to mention you can see inside see kitchen and Hello health department. Please clean it up.

This place is open from 7am to 2am. The breakfast is the standard eggs, bacon, etc. They are perhaps best known for their sandwiches. In the evenings it morphs into a typical downtown bar.

Reds is great as a restaurant great food, waiters and waitresses and quick. Never had an issue eating here. As a bar Reds is also great same great service and they offer a wide selection of drinks only complaint is that it always seems very crowded....for the volume of people they have they really need a bigger location but they have a very centralized location which is why they will probably never move anyway I highly recommend Reds both as a restaurant and bar!

Sweet and Spicy chicken pizza! Totally worth breaking my SB/low-carb diet for. I was very impressed by the food quality. We ate before the music got too loud and while we could hear each other talk. The White Chicken Chili was also fantastic.

My work team had a reservation for 14 people here today and it took an hour to get our food. I learned my lesson with anything that had chicken on it from the last couple times I have been here (it has always been super dry and chewy aka gross!) so I ordered my once-a-year rueben (I love them, but they put me in a food coma) and it was fine. It would have been very good, but the meat was cold, the bread wasn't toasty, and there was no thousand island dressing on it (or on the side). But after waiting an hour you just sort of let that go and chow down. Our server was very friendly and very nice; she kept up on the refills and brought everyone what they needed, including my missing thousand island.

Favorite little bar in cedar rapids, and surprisingly good bar food too. Found the best breakfast pizza I have ever eaten there. All the beer comes in cans so FYI...

A quick lunch on a work day, evening drink and apps with friends, weekend breakfast - can't go wrong with any of these here. This is hands down my favorite place in Downtown CR. A bit a neighborhood bar, the employees are friendly, the service is fast, and the menu is impressive for a bar. Prices are VERY reasonable.

There are still few places to eat downtown during the work week, so I've been dragged to Red's quite a few times. I'd like to see this place stick around, as this spot has seen quite a turnover in restaurants, and frankly, I need places to eat during the day. It's gotten pretty busy, but the servers tend to your needs quite readily. A refill of my soda was always ready for me before I ever asked, and the food comes out relatively fast for the amount of people sitting in the restaurant. The food - here's where it gets tricky. Their burgers are good, especially the spicy burger that has fried jalapeno-onion strings, but any wrap or sandwich with chicken involved will be a workout for your chompers. Their flatbread pizzas are also good, even the ones with chicken. The spicy chili is spicy, but more in the sense of throwing in a bunch of chili powder spicy than a tasty blend of various peppers, so I just didn't find it appealing. As an evening bar, it's a decent place to chill where you can sit with your friends and actually hear what they're saying, and big windows for watching drunk girls get their stilettos stuck in the grating on the sidewalk outside.
